Aunt Ardis Green
Here is a Happy New Year 2012 to all my Garrard Family! Hope we can all keep our resolutions. I wanted to give you a report on our Aunt Ardis Green. I found out from Mom and Dad that she had fallen in her home a few days before Christmas and broke her right hip. With the business of Christmas, I waited until yesterday to find out more. I called our cousin, Rick Green, and he said she was still at St. Marks Hospital. So today after work I stopped at the hospital and had a nice visit with her and Tina, who was there also. Ardis is improving and feels that perhaps in another few weeks she will be able to go home. She has two pins put in her hip and it will take time to heal and get stronger, so she has a walker to get around. Her mind is good and we talked about our families, etc. I think with time she will be back to herself, but she is looking older and more feeble than I remember from the last time I saw her. She has let her hair go to white like our daddy's and reminds me so much of him. What a sweet lady! She wanted me to tell you all hello from her. She is able to take calls in her room, Mom and Dad, if you would like to talk to her. She is in the South Wing on the 5th floor, room 13. The hospital's phone number is 801-268-7111. Love to all, Jeri
