The Garrard family of Archie and June Garrard began 60 years ago when they were married in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple on June 17, 1948. They have raised six children together in Phoenix, AZ, Portland, OR, SLC, UT, Twin Falls, ID, and Huntsville, AL where they still reside today. Linda, the oldest, has five children, Shane, Deana, Kelly, Beth, and Jesse. She and Rashadd Mayes now live in Tacoma, WA. Susan, the second daughter, married Doug Earl and they have three children, Kim, Ben, and Stacey. Susan and Doug live in Strousburg, PA. Daughter #3 is Jeri, married to Bruce Howard and they have six children also: Lee, Spencer, Jared, Andy, Sarah and Diane. Their home is in SLC, UT. Ron was born next, giving them their first son. He and his wife, Tran, live in Burbank, CA and have three children: Rick, Lora, and Mike. The last two children of Archie and June were also girls: Jeanette and Kathy. Jeanette has three children: Kristina, Bobby, and Angela. She lives in Holly Hill, FL and is now married to Max Chidavaenzi. Kathy was the baby and she and Keith Underwood live in Huntsville, AL not far from Archie and June. The family keeps growing and changing with grandchildren and great grandchildren and moves around the country. We want to keep up with each others lives by joining together on this blog.

I didn't really want to get into the debate of blogging or not. However, I really don't see the problem. So I say, Yes blog. I find that I can keep up with the family better this way.
I for one am not afraid to blog. We can just be selective on the things we name and say and it shouldn't be a problem. You'll have to decide for yourself what you want to do. I've just been busy for a few weeks and finally did a blog on our site last night. If anyone doesn't want me posting their pictures or saying anything about them, let me know. However, I don't want to exclude anyone and I am being careful. Jeri

I love blogging and will continue to blog as long as our family blog is up and running. I will still have my own family blog for those to enjoy!
